Pint Size Sessions

There are several Pint Size sessions coming up. Pint size sessions are just 30 minute sessions for $30. You will receive 20pictures on disc in color and in black and white. Though they are called pint, they are not just for the little pints. They are for any and everyone.

I had the privilege of going to take some pictures of a beautiful newborn baby. Me and his mom grew up together. I was so excited when she told me she was pregnant...and couldn't wait to take pictures of him when he arrived. He was breeze to shoot. Congrats to the new mom and dad...you can see the love for this little boy written all over their face.

Ok...I had a hard time narrowing down which pint sessions to do...so I decided to do them all. I have had such a fun time doing different themes and going to new areas. I still have a few more pint size session days now through the end of the year.

On Saturday, I am going back to the RoundHouse to do some more sessions. That place is so awesome to take pictures of everyone. Couples, families, kids...it was the da bomb.

On Aug. 29th...we are doing sessions at the North Beach on Tybee. Then on Sept. 5th, I will be doing a watermelon theme pictures.

Today I did pint size sessions at the RoundHouse Museum. I had such a great time there today, that I am going to host another set of them on Aug. 22nd. I went through a few of the sessions and wanted to give you a preview.

New sessions

I have had ideas for several pint size sessions. And I can't decide on which one to do so I have decided to do them all. For the Class of 2010, I am going to do a Seniors Pint Size session on July 25th. Come get your Senior pictures in downtown Savannah. I am going to do a girl's session at Dragonfly's Hair and Nail boutique on August 1st. Little girls playing dress up is sure to make for some cute pictures. I am going to do a boys sessions at the Round House on August 8th. Every little boy's favorite toy is a train, so what better place to take their picture...Next to a train. There is a fee to get into the Roundhouse, but it includes a tour of the musuem. Then on September 5th, we are heading to Forsyth to take some family pictures with watermelons. I love the line of clothes that Gymboree has out and can't wait to take those pictures. And finally, EmmAva photography is going to do family pictures (or solo pictures) at Tybee on August 29th. End your summer with family pictures!

Ok, here are the details for the sessions....Each session will be 30 minutes and will cost $30. With that you will get a disc of 20pictures in color and in black and white with a copyright release. I am also going to give you an incentive...if you refer someone new, I will give you a free 5x7print. If you refer 6 NEW people...your session is free.

Disney

For WorshipMan's birthday, I gave him a weekend in Orlando. Since Saturday was his birthday, he was able to get into Magic Kingdom for free. He loves Disney and couldn't wait to share it with the girls. My big girl loved every ride she went on and couldn't wait to get on another ride. We even stayed for the parade at the close of the park and she was so excited to see all her favorite characters. All the way home she would say, "I want to ride teacups again". My big girl is growing up. My baby girl is too young to really know what Disney is yet, but it was fun to see her face light up on the rides she was able to go on. On Sunday, we went to Seaworld since my big girl is a fish girl. She loved it. Her facial expressions during Shamu were priceless. They even had a ride like the teacups and couldn't wait to ride on it. It is always sad to leave a vacation but there is no place like home and your own bed. I got all the bags unpacked and the laundry done. So I am happy!

Slacker...

I have been a slacker with my blog lately. I have been busy with work, sessions, and kids! We have also been trying to get the house in order. I am working on organizing every room...going room to room. I am hoping to put a new coat of paint on my living room walls next weekend. And hoping to plant our front flower bed, since it has finally stopped raining. WorshipMan (my hubby) finally was able to cut and edge the yard today, so it is looking halfway decent. We have a lot of work to do and no time to do it. I will be working on a post of some of my recent work tomorrow. I am going to try to be a better blogger...but I think I have said that before too.

Everyone seems to have a nickname for their family...think that might be a good idea to get some privacy in my family!

Frustration

As some of you guys know, back in Feb (Friday Feb. 13th to be exact), our house was broken into. We were out celebrating a kid free Valentines Day dinner when we got the call from ADT saying our alarm was going off. They dispatched the cops and by the time they arrived, they had already taken Kevin's TV off the wall (it was wall mounted), the wii and all its components and my jewelry box. Well, Kevin wanted the same TV again. We have been looking for it everywhere. Well, we found it on Walmart.com and we ordered it and had it shipped to the store. The TV came in this week and Kevin was so excited. He had the new wall mount up and was going to hang the TV when he noticed that the glass was shattered. Oh, was he mad. I called walmart and they didn't have any in stock yet so he took it down there to return it. So, he is frustrated and I am frustrated because I have to go find another TV.

I have been thinking about how to step EmmAva Photography up the next level. I have had a few ideas today and now I am planning on how to put them into motion. We are updating the website to go with my new look that we are about unveil. I have some ideas for some pint size sessions. I am so excited. I can't wait to do the big unveiling of it all.

I will be on Tybee on May 2nd shooting some pint size sessions. Then I have been coming up with a new concept for Pint size sessions and some themes for them. I will get into the details of the themed pint size sessions in another post. I am looking forward to seeing everyone on May 2nd.

What's been going on!

I know I am a bad blogger...I am trying to get better. This has been a crazy few weeks and still have a few more coming. We dedicated Ava at the beach on March 28th. It is the same place that we had Emma dedicated. And it was nice that Kevin's dad was able to do it. Then we had a garage sale...I am cleaning up and cleaning out. Then we have Easter..then Emma's 2nd birthday...and then we are taking her to the zoo and the aquarium in Atlanta for her birthday..then I have pint size on May 2nd. So I am busy busy busy on Saturdays. But I am having fun doing it all. I have had a lot of new business with the photography lately. I am excited. Last week I got to photograph a beautiful baby girl that was 2months old and her parents. Yesterday I met with a future wedding client and then today I had some Easter pics to shoot. My hardest client is Emma. She never wants to have her pictures taken. It took me a good hour today to get a decent shot for her birthday invite. Oh they grow up so fast. Ava is going on 6months and she is crawling...she needs to slow down. Ok I should head to bed since tomorrow is back to work. Here are a few recent pics that I have taken.

I am finally caught up on all my pint size sessions from Forsyth. I will be uploading them over the next week to the website. I am excited on all that is going on with EmmAva photography. Over the next week, we will be updating the website. Kevin has been working on a new logo for me. I am so excited to get it all done. We will be doing another pint size session on May 2nd at Tybee. The sessions are $30 and are 30mins each. They will run from 9:30am-2pm.

Weddings

I had a wedding scheduled for the end of Jan. Well, they called me last Monday, and they had to move the wedding up to Jan. 2nd. Since I had no jobs that day, I still could do. While I was on the carriage ride with them, I had a man come up to the carriage asking for a card. Well, he called me that night asking me to photograph their wedding the next day. So I have had two weddings in two days. They asked me to put a rush on the photos since they were going to be going home on Monday, and they wanted to take them with them. I sat at the computer all of Sat. night and most of Sunday. I went through about 1900 pics and edited about 250.

New Year

We had a great Christmas! It was fun to watch Emma walk into the living room this morning and see her baby doll furniture. And then she went running toward it. We made it through the opening of the presents before she got sick. Within a two hour period she went through six outfits. At least she woke up from her nap feeling a lot better. I so can not wait for Dec. 31st. She has an appt. with a stomach dr to see what is causing her to be sick all the time.

I can't wait until the new year. I am planning on doing a lot more pint sessions throughout the year. I am excited on what the new year brings.

Life

Life has been pretty crazy for the past few weeks. We went to Virigina to celebrate Christmas with my dad, we have already celebrated with Kevin's family and tomorrow night is Christmas with my mom. Plus Emma has pretty much stayed sick ever since Ava was born. She finally has her appt with the gastric dr next week. I can't not wait to find out what she has an allergy to so that we can move on. Everyday is so fun with her. She is learning new words daily. I will starting counting to her so that she knows that she is about to get in trouble and little Miss Smarty pants chimes in. I will say one and she smiles and goes "two". Ava is growing up so fast. It is hard to believe that she is already two months old. She is sleeping through the night and is even trying to pull herself up when she is lying on her back.

EmmAva Photography is going good. November was a crazy month for EmmAva. I had beach sessions, Christmas tree sessions and even several other family sessions. I am caught up on everything and I am going to enjoy taking a few days off from everything this week.

We usually go to Atlanta on Christmas to see Kevin's grandmother. This year we aren't going. She can't handle large crowds anymore without it wearing her out and making her sick. So we are going to space out the times that we go up. Kevin's mom will be there for Christmas adn then a few weeks later we will head up there so that she can meet Ava. This will be our first year that we don't have any plans for Christmas and I love it. I am so excited to stay at home in my pjs watching Emma play with all her toys that Santa brings. We are going to watch Christmas movies all day and just take it easy. I am so excited.

I am finally finished editing all the pictures from my sessions. I have been burning their disc all night. Tomorrow, I will be adding pictures to the website and to the blog. It feels great to finally be caught up. I am gearing up for the Christmas Tree sessions next Saturday.

My maternity is finally over. It breaks my heart to have to go back to work and leave my girls. My six weeks were filled with sick babies, but I am glad I was off when I had to deal with this. I had the best time with them while I was off.

I have been busy this week with sessions and I love it. I have been to the beach several times and now I am doing Christmas Tree sessions. I have a lot of pictures to edit and I am hoping to get a lot done tomorrow.

It is exciting to see where EmmAva Photography is going. I have been dying to edit my business cards, my website and my blog for some time now. But I haven't had any good ideas come to mind until today. So I will be working on updating everything this week along with editing all the pictures.

I have had several people not be able make it to the pint size session days due to other obligations. So we will be offering beach sessions again on Sat. Nov. 22nd or 23rd or Christmas Tree sessions on Nov. 28th or 29th. Please email me at Emmavaphotography@yahoo.com to book your session.

I am very anxious for Ava to get here. I want to get back to taking pictures. I have so many photo shoots planned for Emma and Ava. I can't wait until the November pint size sessions. Me and Kevin had Emma dedicated at Tybee near the lighthouse and I love the part of the beach. We pretty much walked the whole beach looking for the perfect spot to have her dedication. We are already planning to have Ava dedicated there also. Oh, how I will Ava would come already. I have been taking several long walks every day trying to help her along.

I have been working on some specials for EmmAva Photography today. I came up with a few for now.

EmmAva Specials(will be good through Dec. 31st, 2008)

a. For every four people that you refer that books a full hour session, you will receive a free hour session.
(Make sure that they let me know that you referred by you)

b. Book a hour long session and purchase 20 Christmas cards and receive 20% off session fee.

c. Book a hour long session and purchase 20 birth announcements and receive 20% off your session fee.

I am working a the final Christmas cards and birth announcements this week and I will add them to the website and to my myspace photos by the end of this week.

I spent Friday night addressing the postcards for the November pint size sessions. Me and Emma will be going to the post office tomorrow to buy some stamps and putting them in the mail tomorrow. Book your session in time for Christmas.

Also, I have a few openings in October if you would like to have Fall Pictures made. If you would like to have pictures made in your Halloween costume made, let me know.

November Sessions

I have will be having two sets of pint size sessions in Nov. On November 1st, we will be down at Tybee near the North Beach Grill. And then on Nov. 15th, we will be in the EmmAva Photography Studio around the Christmas tree. Contact me for more information regarding each set of sessions and to book your sessions. November Sessions

I am planning on doing some pint size sessions at Tybee and some pictures around the Christmas tree in November. I am excited about these sessions and I am hoping to be able to take Emma and Ava's pictures at both so that I can get Christmas cards with them on it made.

I am excited how well the word is spreading about EmmAva Photography. I take pride in every session that I do and I pray that it shows in every picture that comes from it.

Family and Friends day

I am so excited about how well Friends and Family day went. I had the opportunity photographing 12 great families. I am excited about how well every session turned out and how much everyone loved their pictures. I can't wait for the chance to do another set of sessions like that. I ran into Target with Emma today to get something for Kevin and that is when it all started to go downhill. Emma decided to put her arm through the back of the buggy and get it stuck. She started screaming at the top of her lungs. I finally got it out and decided to just leave. We paid for Kevin's wire and came outside to see security standing by my car. That is never a good sign. Someone hit my car while I was in Target. I don't know how she did it, but she did a good job. Her headlight was busted and my bumper was pushed in some and she even hit the rim of my tire. Now I have to deal with insurance and trying to get my car fixed. Something that a 7th month pregnant lady doesn't want to do. I am still going on my shoot tonight just hoping that my blood pressure with calm down somewhat. We will see how it goes!

I am so happy with the response I have gotten on the friends and family sessions. I mailed out postcards last week and I only have 5spots available. I think that I have finally gotten my website up and running. I am moving full speed ahead.

On another note.. .Emma is growing up so fast. It is hard to believe that she is already 15months old. She has so much attitude it is not funny. She can now say mommy, daddy, nana, nanny, nina, doggie, bye, hi, thank you, yum yum and a few other words. Her favorite word is mommy. She will call my name at the top of her lungs while I am sitting beside her. We are going tomorrow to get her first hair trim (well bang trim). I am not ready to cut any length off yet. It is also hard to believe that I am going to have another baby girl in less than 3months. I can't wait.

I am excited to say that EmmAva Photography is starting off really good. I mailed postcards this week for Friends and Family sessions and they are already halfway booked. I registered my domain name and put in an order for a website template. I was tired of saying that I was going to start doing photography... I just needed Kevin to give me the shove to actually do it.

Friends and Family sessions are going to be on Aug. 16th.

Prices as of now are:

session fees are $50/hr for any location in Savannah or Tybee

it will be an extra $10 for any where outside of Savannah

for every additional half hour it will be $25

You will get your pictures and copyrights to all the pictures on a disc with 2wks of your session in the mail.

If you would like to purchase prints, they will be available for an additional cost.

I am working on putting together photo packages and prices for indiviual pictures.
