New sessions

I have had ideas for several pint size sessions. And I can't decide on which one to do so I have decided to do them all. For the Class of 2010, I am going to do a Seniors Pint Size session on July 25th. Come get your Senior pictures in downtown Savannah. I am going to do a girl's session at Dragonfly's Hair and Nail boutique on August 1st. Little girls playing dress up is sure to make for some cute pictures. I am going to do a boys sessions at the Round House on August 8th. Every little boy's favorite toy is a train, so what better place to take their picture...Next to a train. There is a fee to get into the Roundhouse, but it includes a tour of the musuem. Then on September 5th, we are heading to Forsyth to take some family pictures with watermelons. I love the line of clothes that Gymboree has out and can't wait to take those pictures. And finally, EmmAva photography is going to do family pictures (or solo pictures) at Tybee on August 29th. End your summer with family pictures!

Ok, here are the details for the sessions....Each session will be 30 minutes and will cost $30. With that you will get a disc of 20pictures in color and in black and white with a copyright release. I am also going to give you an incentive...if you refer someone new, I will give you a free 5x7print. If you refer 6 NEW people...your session is free.

Disney

For WorshipMan's birthday, I gave him a weekend in Orlando. Since Saturday was his birthday, he was able to get into Magic Kingdom for free. He loves Disney and couldn't wait to share it with the girls. My big girl loved every ride she went on and couldn't wait to get on another ride. We even stayed for the parade at the close of the park and she was so excited to see all her favorite characters. All the way home she would say, "I want to ride teacups again". My big girl is growing up. My baby girl is too young to really know what Disney is yet, but it was fun to see her face light up on the rides she was able to go on. On Sunday, we went to Seaworld since my big girl is a fish girl. She loved it. Her facial expressions during Shamu were priceless. They even had a ride like the teacups and couldn't wait to ride on it. It is always sad to leave a vacation but there is no place like home and your own bed. I got all the bags unpacked and the laundry done. So I am happy!

Slacker...

I have been a slacker with my blog lately. I have been busy with work, sessions, and kids! We have also been trying to get the house in order. I am working on organizing every room...going room to room. I am hoping to put a new coat of paint on my living room walls next weekend. And hoping to plant our front flower bed, since it has finally stopped raining. WorshipMan (my hubby) finally was able to cut and edge the yard today, so it is looking halfway decent. We have a lot of work to do and no time to do it. I will be working on a post of some of my recent work tomorrow. I am going to try to be a better blogger...but I think I have said that before too.


Everyone seems to have a nickname for their family...think that might be a good idea to get some privacy in my family!

I have been trying to come up with a new logo for EmmAva Photography for awhile now. I think I have finally got it together. So here is the new logo and my new business card ...let me know what you think.

Frustration

As some of you guys know, back in Feb (Friday Feb. 13th to be exact), our house was broken into. We were out celebrating a kid free Valentines Day dinner when we got the call from ADT saying our alarm was going off. They dispatched the cops and by the time they arrived, they had already taken Kevin's TV off the wall (it was wall mounted), the wii and all its components and my jewelry box. Well, Kevin wanted the same TV again. We have been looking for it everywhere. Well, we found it on Walmart.com and we ordered it and had it shipped to the store. The TV came in this week and Kevin was so excited. He had the new wall mount up and was going to hang the TV when he noticed that the glass was shattered. Oh, was he mad. I called walmart and they didn't have any in stock yet so he took it down there to return it. So, he is frustrated and I am frustrated because I have to go find another TV.

I have been thinking about how to step EmmAva Photography up the next level. I have had a few ideas today and now I am planning on how to put them into motion. We are updating the website to go with my new look that we are about unveil. I have some ideas for some pint size sessions. I am so excited. I can't wait to do the big unveiling of it all.

I will be on Tybee on May 2nd shooting some pint size sessions. Then I have been coming up with a new concept for Pint size sessions and some themes for them. I will get into the details of the themed pint size sessions in another post. I am looking forward to seeing everyone on May 2nd.

What's been going on!

I know I am a bad blogger...I am trying to get better. This has been a crazy few weeks and still have a few more coming. We dedicated Ava at the beach on March 28th. It is the same place that we had Emma dedicated. And it was nice that Kevin's dad was able to do it. Then we had a garage sale...I am cleaning up and cleaning out. Then we have Easter..then Emma's 2nd birthday...and then we are taking her to the zoo and the aquarium in Atlanta for her birthday..then I have pint size on May 2nd. So I am busy busy busy on Saturdays. But I am having fun doing it all. I have had a lot of new business with the photography lately. I am excited. Last week I got to photograph a beautiful baby girl that was 2months old and her parents. Yesterday I met with a future wedding client and then today I had some Easter pics to shoot. My hardest client is Emma. She never wants to have her pictures taken. It took me a good hour today to get a decent shot for her birthday invite. Oh they grow up so fast. Ava is going on 6months and she is crawling...she needs to slow down. Ok I should head to bed since tomorrow is back to work. Here are a few recent pics that I have taken.
